Eastgate Park -- Waverly, IA

Since we still had time to kill before supper we tried out another park on the very east side of town.  The playground is totally hidden behind a row of houses, so you have to know what you're looking for.  There are also two small bridges spanning a waterway to a large grassy area.  This park would be more fun with slightly older kids.  We had to be extremely careful on the bridges.  Although there is a cute little slide on the play equipment, that only lasted 2 minutes before Lincoln wanted to head up the stairs and through the tunnel to the big ones.  They were too narrow and too fast for me.  It was also too hot to wear sleeves and there was little to no breeze, so the little black bugs were biting bad.  We lasted about 20 minutes at this park, too.  However, it was a good outing late in the day when we really needed it.  I believe we only have one more park left on our list!

I just love your idea of visiting all these parks. So great! We are park rats but have only three park options. At least they are three super fun options.
