A visit from G&G Boote

With the snow almost gone and no blizzards predicted this weekend, my parents were finally able to come for a visit.  We hadn't seen them since Christmas and Lincoln has changed a lot since then!  They arrived late Thursday night and stayed through Saturday afternoon.  This allowed me to get a lot of errands and solo shopping done on Friday and the van-buying trip on Saturday.  The kids did great for them and everyone had fun.

I bought new pink flower rain boots for Emily on Friday.  She pulled them on along with her over-sized bumblebee rain coat (courtesy of a garage sale a couple years ago) and spent a lot of time splashing in the puddles with Grandma.  My mom said she turned to look at the hospital for a minute and when she looked back Emily was sitting in a puddle!  She had a blast, and I have a feeling that instead of asking to build a snowman every day she will now be asking to "splash in the rain."  I know she had fun because it even made it into her mealtime prayer. :o)  Grandma also brought her famous "book bag" that included our childhood collection of Berenstain Bear books.  Emily is in heaven!

Lincoln had fun showing off his two-tooth grin and all his new moves.  At Christmas he was rolling a bit but still couldn't sit on his own.  Now he crawls, pulls up on everything and cruises around the furniture with more ease every day.

Thanks for a great weekend Grandpa & Grandma!
