Fall leaves

The leaves are beginning to fall, which creates one of my favorite photo ops for the year.  There are so many to choose from.  Here is a sample from the last couple days...

 

There's nothing like the pure joy of running and jumping in a pile of leaves.

Of course, eventually someone has to rake the leaves.  Lincoln liked to "help".

 I have some more efficient techniques.

The kids' main job is to smash down the leaves in the back of the truck.

Pretty much every weekend in October and into November is dedicated to cleaning up the yard at our house.  By the time it was all said and done, we hauled close to 20 pick-up loads to the yard waste site this year!
