Fun in a tent

The kids had been begging to sleep in a tent all summer, so I borrowed a nice four-person tent from a friend.  We set it up in the backyard and the kids played in it all afternoon.  We also ate our frozen pizza supper in it.

I had purchased an extra special treat--Blue Bunny Birthday Cake ice cream cones.  It was love at first bite for Lincoln!

We put the tent in the garage for the night because there was rain in the forecast (turned out to be an excellent idea since there was a torrential downpour at about 4:00am).
