Fun with flowers

There are some beautiful flowers blooming in the front perennial garden right now.  I had some fun experimenting with different camera settings.

And this is the finished (but never really finished) shade garden after some plant rearranging, mulch and a few little added flowers.  I'm sure it will look even better in another month or two.  I have already been able to spend some [brief] quiet moments sitting on the porch enjoying it. :o)
